74 / 100 - How 2 Escape
Sep 1, 2023

Despite little innovation and certain attempts that ended up not working very well, How 2 Escape got it right when it came to console-app interaction between players. There are several areas with different puzzles and diverse environments, which can deliver a few hours of entertainment. The difficulty of solving some puzzles, however, can be demotivating for some.

85 / 100 - Fort Solis
Aug 22, 2023

Fort Solis delivers an immersive cinematic experience, enriched by exceptional voice performances, stunning graphics, and elements like audio and video that amplify the narrative. The exploration, collectibles, and gradual reveal of the plot add to the suspense, while excellent visuals and animations are highlighted, though the movement can be occasionally stalled. Even though it's relatively brief, Fort Solis offers a memorable journey into its unique universe.

Aliens: Dark Descent is a challenging and immersive game with impressive cutscenes and a cinematic atmosphere. Although the lack of subtitles in Portuguese in subsequent dialogues is disappointing, the captivating story and strategic gameplay make up for it. Although these are very positive points for some, however, they can make the long and dense title tiring for others.

Even without revolutionary additions, Amnesia: The Bunker does not disappoint in the horror department. The darkness of the underground is really scary and fills you with anxiety, but, despite not being something necessarily negative, the new game in the franchise brings more of the same without being especially striking. For lovers of the genre, however, the experience is quite satisfying, and it will be even more when the technical issues are resolved.

50 / 100 - After You
May 15, 2023

After You is an extremely short game that seems to try to create an interesting and cohesive story, but fails miserably. The weak graphics are not very inviting and many things are just thrown around without explanation. Among so many games of the genre, this one is far from my first choice.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened has dynamic gameplay and the dark story leaves no loose ends in its conclusion. It's a smart game (as expected) and transforms its predecessor's open-world experience into something more linear and succinct. Some might see this as a positive thing, while others might be left with the impression that there's something missing compared to the previous title. Either way, it's clear that Frogwares has masterfully remade a game that was already successful at its time, taking it to another level – and this needs to be recognized.

50 / 100 - Seven Doors
Feb 25, 2023

Seven Doors has mostly random and uninteresting puzzles that fail to meet the expectations created by the game's synopsis and trailer. It leaves something to be desired for its lack of action, and also considering that there are many other better games in this genre, many with a really good story.

Kukoos: Lost Pets is cute, charismatic, fun and challenging. Not everything is as simple or obvious as it seems, and sometimes it will be necessary to take some time away from the game to recover that thirst for a new attempt after so many failures or even to start a new level. It can be a little tiring and not give you that urge to play until you complete it.

Despite offering countless possibilities, Bravery and Greed does not bring any innovation and is quite short. It has good challenges and fulfills the nostalgic requirement of games of this style, but still, when finishing it, something seems to be missing. Despite a good Adventure mode, the other modes are not that interesting.

New Tales from the Borderlands tries to bring innovations compared to the first game, but they are not satisfactory and many give an impression of uselessness. Some characteristic elements remained in the franchise, but without the same quality, and the new characters don't manage to be as charismatic as the old ones. The game tries to be many things at the same time, but exaggerates in some and is not enough in others, failing to be anything with excellence.

Watcher Chronicles isn't a groundbreaking game and doesn't focus on story or narrative, but the combat and its souslike RPG characteristics are satisfying. The fun is guaranteed both playing alone and in multiplayer – a mode with coherent adaptations that make the game more dynamic to be played in pairs, despite the limitations for the second player.

98 / 100 - Cult of the Lamb
Aug 21, 2022

A mix of farm building and roguelite, Cult of the Lamb is impeccable in what it sets out to do. It's wonderful the richness of detail and how it manages to combine totally dark elements with colorful and cute visuals in a story that keeps you excited even after hours of doing practically the same things – and loving every minute of it.

74 / 100 - Eternal Hope
Jul 27, 2022

Eternal Hope is well done, with small details that make a difference in a very positive way. It has a cliché plot, but it's fun to play. The visuals are beautiful, but being an extremely short and simple game, it leaves the feeling that levels and powers could have been better explored, and characters and the story in general better developed.

Endling: Extinction is Forever is narrative focused and has a good story. Its repetitive mechanics, however, can make the game tiring and difficult to play for many hours in a row. Even so, it's worth it; although quite sad, it has a proportionate characteristic beauty.

84 / 100 - Silt
Jun 1, 2022

Silt is a very beautiful and quite simple game, but with the right level of difficulty and entertainment. Still, in a few hours it is possible to finish it. The game is focused on the puzzles, so the story unfortunately doesn't get all the attention it deserves.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is an extremely relaxing and beautiful game. Its simple gameplay and lack of combat make it an easy title, which added to its story, pleases the whole family. If you like hunting for collectibles, you can put it at the top of your list and you won't regret it.

90 / 100 - Blackwind
Jan 27, 2022

Despite certain occasional situations, Blackwind is simple, fun and has the ideal difficulty level. The considerably short stages will always make you want to play one more time, and because the platinum trophy isn't hard to get, this could very well become your goal.

Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases is a very well conducted and connected story, giving the feeling that you are not only playing a game, but also reading a book by the Queen of Crime. With well-built characters, there are some moments that are a little predictable, but others are quite surprising, thus delivering an excellent experience for lovers of the genre.

80 / 100 - Inked
Sep 18, 2021

Inked: A Tale of Love is a dynamic game that evolves without delay, with constant gameplay innovations and challenges at a reasonable level of difficulty. It is simple and short (maybe too little and too short) and has a beautiful story that many can relate to, and manages to convey morale and a little hope at the end.

Murder Mystery Machine does a pretty good job of what it sets out to do, especially when it comes to the setting. It's not a difficult game, but it does require some investigative (and deductive) skills to get a perfect performance, which makes it challenging at the right level. Its flaws can be easily fixed, its interesting story is entertaining, and the hours spent in front of the TV will seem like just a few minutes. I totally recommend it!
