Critic Reviews for Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways
Separate Ways is a worthy counterpart to Resident Evil 4's fantastic story, providing an excellent remix of both new and familiar locations, and its breakneck pace of pitting you against excellent adversaries never leaves room for a dull moment.
A very welcome slice of DLC that is just as enjoyable as the main game and helps flesh out a fan favourite character with their own unique abilities and agenda.
I’m just as shocked as you are that Separate Ways ended up being great, but when you really think about it, there was no other realistic outcome. The Resident Evil 4 remake is so good that Capcom really could have rested on its laurels and developed a cheap DLC that would have been fine at worst, but they put the work in.
Although it has its foundations laid on something we've already experienced, Separate Ways finds its own way (ahem) with bombproof storytelling and pacing. It is an example of complete, intense and well-designed DLC.

Separate Ways is a fantastic addition to Resident Evil 4 Remake and really cements its place as one of the series' best. Add in some unexpected nods to wider aspects of Resident Evil lore and you have a DLC that works both as extra content to the main game and wider fan service too. If you enjoyed the RE4 Remake then this DLC is pretty much an essential purchase.
An excellent DLC, which takes the original content and reworks it for greater overall cohesion, embellishing everything with mechanics tailored for Ada.

Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways is the perfect excuse for you to boot up the game again, with over 5 hours of sublime content from Ada's POV.
While Separate Ways plays it very safely, it is an easy recommendation for those who want some more Resident Evil 4 Remake in their lives.
