The first DLC of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet surprised us with a more intimate story, linked to the folklore of Nordivia; A nice change of tone and rhythm, after the main story had accustomed us to much worse threats. That's what we liked most about the DLC, along with the addition of new Pokémon to catch and new areas to explore.

We are not at the levels of the expansion dedicated to Donkey Kong of the first game, nor to the excellent ones of the base game, which remains one of the pearls of the rich softeca of Nintendo Switch, yet Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope - Rayman in the Phantom Show is a fun and carefree DLC, which will not engage veterans too much and could paradoxically please newbies or those who, Like us, he missed the most beloved eggplant man in the history of video games.

Accustomed as we are to hasty additional content, Dimension Shellshock is on the contrary a surprisingly curated and deep DLC for the already excellent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. The new characters have fun and peculiar movesets, while the Survival mode will delight those looking for a new challenge that was missing from the original offer of Tribute Games and Dotemu. Difficult not to throw yourself headlong into this DLC for those who appreciated the original game, even in the face of a much more than affordable price and what is proposed.

Starfield aims to be Bethesda Game Studios' magnum opus: it's compelling, entertaining and familiar: it feels like spending time with a longtime friend. This also means that it is inherently old in its structure and in how its universe reacts to the player. It's a shame that it comes with some unforgivable sins, like how dull the planet explorations is, but you will spend tons of hours in the game nonetheless.

The Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy comes to a close with a great piece of DLC, that offers a lot of quality content and gives a couple of much needed answers to long-time fans. The Last of Us Part I, on PC, is a broken game. We are not talking about the qualities of the title itself – which will always remain those of an undisputed masterpiece – but about the way in which a product of this magnitude has been converted to a personal computer. In the face of this, if you feel the need to relive the adventure of Joel and Ellie, our advice is to turn to the PS5 edition. In case you are not happy owners of a Sony console, you would better wait for the ritual patches, which – we are sure, but it will still take time – will fix the Naughty Dog title on PC, as it should be.

Anno 1800 is also confirmed on consoles as a pleasant experience, able to bring to the genre of management all those who tend to be reluctant in front of this type of offer or simply not equipped with computers – for a niche surprisingly increasingly widespread even among those armed with controllers. In fact, we have a careful adaptation of commands and interfaces, without this leading to losing the strong identity that distinguishes the work of Blue Byte. This, of course, with some necessary compromise, which does not affect the enjoyment of the experience even on consoles.

Despite reminding us of carefree years, in which video games were experienced in a significantly different way, The Legend of Dragoon is not the gem of JRPGs forgotten over time. The "Sony Final Fantasy" is in fact still a title too derivative, which has from its some creative flair here and there, lost in a sea of banality due to main characters without charisma, a plot overall really bland and a soundtrack certainly not very incisive. A bad game? Not at all. Only, not the great immortal classic that many remember.
