Critic Reviews for The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo

We did run into one or two bugs, like the camera being in the wrong place and a hard crash, so it's not the smoothest experience. Despite that, there's a lot to like about this unusual little adventure. If you're looking for a unique point-and-click game with surreal visuals, an eerie atmosphere, and some interesting puzzles, this is worth a shot — but we're intrigued to see how it evolves in a sequel.

A video game that would have deserved more care and attention from a technical point of view. The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo could have been much more and with more content. Such a pity.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is a standout title in its commitment to presenting spectacular, surrealist animation. However, it does so at the expense of having much gameplay to offer. The playtime is short, the interaction is limited, and the puzzles are obtuse. Fortunately, the animation and music are good enough to distract you from those facts and provide an hour or two of great entertainment.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo excels in its hand-drawn represantation and unique world that is unpreditable at everyturn. However, it is betrayed by technical issues and is disappointingly short.

What makes the game special is the combination of the puzzles and the graphic style and animations of the game. That's where the game really excels. A game like this is actually unique of its kind. The animations are even incredibly well put together. As if someone who was heavily on drugs designed and developed this game. It makes the experience quite special. The illustrations are really razor sharp. Literally because you are even cut into pieces. However, the disadvantages also outweigh the advantages.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo plays its strengths through its animators’ beautiful work and the somewhat challenging puzzles that accompany Mr. Coo’s surrealist world. For fans of traditional animation, this adventure is a no brainer.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo stands out notably due to its engaging art direction and captivating soundtrack. The experience is comparable to watching a masterpiece from the golden age of animation on film or television. However, as a game, it presents itself as a good choice to introduce the point and click genre to a generation that did not experience the golden age of gaming in the 1990s. Despite this, it is important to mention that the game may not provide content enough to impress us or mark our experience.
